Because I love you I stick with you

I gaze into

Your beautiful eyes

Because I love you I don’t cheat on you

I don’t tell you

Any lies

Because I love you

I meet your family

And take you to all the places you’ve wanted to see

Because I love you

We go to Maine and watch the sea

Because I love you

We argue

But still manage to pull through

Because I love you I give you your headspace to figure out the things you need to

Because I love you I never plan to leave your side no matter how many times you cry

Because I love you I rub your head and lend you my hoodies

Which you inevitably steal

Because I love you

We communicate when issues arise

Hashing out our differences and coming to a compromise

Because I love you

I bake you cookies after a stressful week

Because I love you I’m not afraid to turn the other cheek

Because I love you

I don’t give up hope

Even when things get rough

Because I know that our love is strong enough

Because I love you I realize

That I don’t feel quite right without you by my side

I love you

Not paste tense

And because I love you

I want to try again
