Ariel: The Prequel
Triton and Ursula,
Husband and wife,
Divorced and unhappy,
Over one strife.
When Ariel came round
Postpartum rolled ‘bout,
Making poor Ursula,
Have a big doubt.
Love travelled far,
Leaving but pain,
And feelings of hate,
Grew with no gain.
Wishes of misery
Took over her mind,
No love and no life,
For her own kind.
Moving afar,
Away from abuse,
Triton shielded Ariel
While making a truce.
It wasn’t until,
Ariel found true love,
And sang with her voice,
From heaven above.
Ursula awakened,
To much her despise,
Newfound hatred,
Led her to disguise.
But all was in vain,
For weak Ariel fought,
And true love prevailed,
Much against Ursula’s thought.
Weakened and beaten,
Isolated and discriminated,
Poor old Ursula left alone,
Nothing but frustrated.
