Aristotle

Healthy, peace of mind and body, safe and sound,

When you are healthy, there’s joy all around,

Relationship, transcendent beyond friends,

Being together, blissful with no ends.

Before we think we know relationships,

We must figure out what are friendships.

Friends will be there for you?

Friends will remain true?

What makes a friend genuine,

That is what I’m askin’.

Aristotle has a say,

Chiming in today.

I admit that he is an ancient dude,

But listen please, don’t be rude.

There are three levels in friendships:

And list them I will in my quips.

Level one is basic, only the first grade;

Where two people need each other in some kind of trade.

Level two is nice, it is the second tier.

Adding to trade is conversation that you hear.

Level three is what matters though:

True friendships to here make it through.

There is much more than trade and chat,

They enjoy the other’s company, and yearn for that.

A relationship should ring true to level three,

Otherwise it is not authentic enough for thee.

You must love being with that person;

Otherwise your situation will worsen.

If at all you feel threatened or unsafe,

At your soul that person will chafe.

It is much better to leave someone toxic,

Than to be stuck in woe that is thick.

A true relationship has love both ways,

There is a fire inside, a burning blaze.

A truly healthy relationship must have this,

That is the definite way to achieve spiritual bliss.
