Aristotle and Dante

In this desert land,

You are the rain

To which I lift my hands.

Pining for a taste,

I pray to you

That you might sustain me -

Don't let my offer run to waste.

Cease this drought,

Water this seed,

Watch it bloom into your faithful tree.

I haven't yet shown you my leaves.
