Arizona Desert

Location

My soul succumbs

To the green slums

Of desert trees

And uneasy red-orange seas.

A top Bell Tower,

Where encompassed endless power

Allows me to assess

What most refuse to confess.

All feeling begins to melt away

Leaving only raw life on display,

Time transforms into missing hours

As my meaningless life empowers

Me to see the colorful facts

That our tracks

Play an insignificant role,

We are no challenge for nature’s patrol,

We try to conquer by we secretly know

Everything we make will come and go
