Armenia

This first slide is about an Armenian food that I think looks good. Its called Manti (Armenian Dumplings). Since I find it good I will tell you the ingredients to this dish only. For the dough you need 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed, 1 large egg, 1 1/2 teaspoons of olive oil, 1/2 a teaspoon of kohser salt, and 2 tablespoons of water, or as needed. Then for the filling you need 1/2 lbs of ground beef, 1/4 cup finely diced onion, 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshy ground black pepper, 1 pinch cayenne pepper. And for the broth you need 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 clove crushed garlic, 1/2 cup of tomato sauce,2 cups of chicken or beef broth, salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, and cayenne pepper to taste. The next slide is Armenian dancing. The lively Armenians are light on their feet and love nothing more than to express their feelings through dance. Wedding, birthdays, the harvest - Armenians certainly don't need any excuse to put their best foot forward and celebrate life on their toes.  The tunes come out once the feasting is done and everyone is expected to give it a good go. You may just be lucky enough to witness a Kochari performance if your visit coincides with one of the most popular festive celebrations. Inscribed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Kochari looks not unlike a herd of goats leaping into the air. Armenia is a semi-presidential republic. The president is the head of state, and enjoys wide powers. The next slide is about the Armenian government. The government exercises executive power, and is composed of ministers led by a prime minister. The single-chamber National Assembly (parliament) is the supreme legislative authority of Armenia. The nect slide im going to talk about is the Armenian Church. The Armenian Apostolic Church is the national church of Armenia. Part of Oriental Orthodoxy, it is one of the most ancient Christian institutions. The Kingdom of Armenia was the first state to adopt Christianity as its official religion under the rule of King Tiridates III, of the Arsacid dynasty in the early 4th century. The next slide is talking about the Armenian Easter. It is consistently celebrated between March 22nd to April 26th. It is because the Armenian APostolic Church celebrates Easter on the first following Sunday of the primary full moon, after the Spring equinox. The Holy celebration will be commended on Sunday, March 31st 2024. There is a Holy Week that is before Easter. This photo is of Armenians circling the squares. In the spring of 2018, a sea of over 100,000 protestors in Republic Square in Yerevan, Armenia. It has been some days since that countrywide strike and the demonstrations against the oligarchy began. It started as a few people camping out in France Square right near some apartment buildings has swelled into a national sea change. The protestors are peaceful, and from the elderly poor o villages to wealthy, urban professionals and students had shut down almost every public square and major boulevard in the country. This next slide is about more Armenian food. The one that looks like steak is called Ishkhan. This is a type of fish dish. This trout of Sevan are 'meatier' than most and, such was their fame, they were being exported across the region as early as the 15th century. Ishkhan can be prepared in an infinite number of ways. You can order it to be boiled, fried or braised with almonds. The most famous dish sees the fish cooked in wine and seasoned with basil, tarragon, chives and pepper.  This next slide is more Armenian dancing. The next slide I will talk about is the Armenian alphabet. The Armenian language is one of the Indo-European languages. This is a family of languages that includes the majority of the languages that originate in Europe, as well as many in Western and Southern Asia. About 46% of the world's population speaks an Indo-European language natively, giving it the most native speakers of any language family. The next slide I am going to talk about it Armenian sports specifically Armenian soccer for this slide.  SInce 1996, the team is a member of qualifiers European and World Championships. Armenia has competed in every UEFA European Championship qualifying and FIFA World Cup qualification since 1994. The first head coach of the Armenian national squad was Sooiet AArmenian football star Eduard Markarvo. The last slide that I have is about Armenian sports in general. Armenia participates in the summer Olympic Games in boxing, fencing, wrestling, weightlifting, judo, gymnastics, track and field, diving, swimming, and sharp shooting. It also participates in the WInter Olympic Games in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and figure skating.
