Armour

Suddenly I feel you very near,

Your evil presence loud and clear

Your words begin to tear me apart.
You aim to drive a knife through my heart

You're subtle so no one knows

That I silently deal with all the blows

You trap me so I can't get out
Hidden deep, no specific route

I call for help but to no avail
I may not live to tell the tale

I'm getting near to pure defeat
And evil game where you always cheat

I have nothing left, just one last minute.
Then gleaming beside me, the sword of the spirit

With the last bit of strength I lift it high
Beckoning help from my king in the sky

I'm revived with new life and I am safe
As I pick up the shield of faith

I stand firm only for Gods nation
And placed on my head the helmet of salvation

The breastplate and belt go on last.
Now I can deflect your every blast

I'm surrounded by angel gleaming white
I back down, for this is no longer my fight

You scream in terror at the holy presence.
They win against your evil essence

You've released your possessive grip on me
No longer fear, but Gods love I see
