an arm's length

you call me baby

you call me honey
but will not call me yours

you kiss me softly
and beg me to hold you tight
but will not make love

you carefully keep me an arms length away from that beating heart
trying not to let me embed myself into it
but darling
I've already tattooed my name

Orbis Unum

I am a visual art student in NY but love to dip my toes in writing in my spare time. I write about my mental illness and life experiences as well as the beauty life holds.
