The Aromantic Love Poem

I think my favorite thing to do

Is watch you read

Seeing the little movements in your face

Each time that you breathe.

I like seeing your eyes twinkle

When you see the words

Fit together perfectly

Like never before.

I like your laugh

When they say something dumb

And the way your hair

Shimmers in the sun.

I think I like you,

Not romantic of course,

But I’ve got a squish,

And it loves your voice.

I think I like you

Because you fit me better

Than a book in the fall,

Than my favorite sweater.

I love being with you

It’s hard to fight,

Because I want to be with you,

I’ve fallen in like.
