Arrows and Bullets
Funny how words overlooked can stir the heart mind soul body
Artistic or plain the weight is currency
Words can move regions
Words can stir sections
Words forward never backward: arrow
Words create distinction between villain and hero
How quick is it to place action over it
When thought process go through a primary flow
Careful and precise
Blurt and blunt
Rude and polite
Intonation
Diction
Pick and or mix
Words endure lifetimes
From dawn of man
At the core they speak our emotion
Calculated they regulate devotion
From Race Religion and Rights
To Power Position and Plights
How can it be overlooked?
Singular or Plural events have been booked
In books
Spanning borders
Creating New World Orders
Right or Left whatever wing
Peace Love Hate Disaster
Actions of Words Spoken
Or Written
Downplay all you want
Words touch our humanity
Or insanity
More than actions can define our biology.

Mohamed Tarqui Jalloh is a Sierra Leonean Poet and Spoken Word artist. Intrigued by the genius of words from a tender age, he Co-founded The Village Poetry Collective SL in 2016 for young Sierra Leoneans who are creative in all forms of art. The Village Collective have since hosted spoken word events in 2016 and 2018. He is also a member of The Sierra Leone Writers Forum and Tok U Tok, another group of mainly Sierra Leone Creatives. He serves as Grand Master of Ceremony and Secretary for International African Writers Association, a pan African writers group changing the African narrative, and Vice President of the Sierra Leonean Chapter. He is currently working on a spoken word album.
