Art
I have never appreciated art. I never even knew the difference between what was art, and what was not. I know I have seen art, because she was a dream, a concept, something so pretty and so beautiful. The way she walked was as if she was in a dream where everything she wanted in life was already happening. The way she talked was if the warmth of the sun and the glow of the moon were in a single flow. The way she looked at people was as if they were art. Thanks to her I know now, that everyone and everything is art.
Wherever I go I can appreciate people and explore everything about who they are. The good part is, I will never know all of them, no matter how much time you spend with someone you will still discover knew things about them. You get to adventure an endless road with surprises on every turn. You get to study their views, look into their point of view, and study what made them who they are. Now I see why she looked to people as if they were art, because they are.
Not only are people art, but everything makes up art, there’s a message everywhere you go, you just have too look. Everything around you gives out emotion, it gives a sense of feelings to you. The way a certain smell can make you want to cuddle up yourself in it and fall asleep, or the way it can make you want to get away. The way a color can remind you of home, or remind you of who you are. The way lovers hold each other can make you feel jealous, the way lovers arguing can make you curious. Now I know why she walked as if she had everything she has ever wanted, because she did.
If I lived my whole life not knowing what art was, I would have lived a life without meaning. I would’ve fell through feeling lost and uncertain, but art gives you a sense of meaning, a feeling that there is more. I am grateful that this girl came into my life and without knowing, showed me how to dance myself. I am still learning everything about art, I am still understanding, still growing, still feeling, still breathing. Now I know why she talked as if she was the sun and the moon.
I don’t regret anything in my life, but I do regret never telling her what she showed me, but I know it wouldn’t of mattered if I did, because that’s the thing about art, it’s a flower that can grow without having any water. I aspire to pour art into everything I do, everything I touch, everything I harm, I will put myself into it. Some people are art, and others are artists. I don’t know which one of these I would rather be, but I do know I want to be a dream, a concept, great, and beautiful.
