Art

From the time I pick a pencil up,

To the time I put a pencil down,

Is when I feel like I'm in the right place.

Hearing the sound of my pencil

Move across the paper is wonderful.

It is not writing in this case.

It is drawing that makes me feel good.

From dogs and cats,

To flowers and trees.

I can draw anything,

At any time I want.

Drawing is what allows me to be me.

I can express myself in many ways.

Drawing a heart to express my love,

Or drawing a fire to express my anger.

I could draw all day if I could.

As soon as I get a chance, I take it.

I will not wait for later.

Drawing makes my days a whole lot better.

Bad days easily turn into good days.

Just by picking up that drawing tool.

I could sit in my room and draw the day away.

There is nothing to stop me, except maybe parents.

But I could draw until the paper is full.

When I draw, something has to make me want to start.

This thing is motivation.

Motivation is key.

Once I'm motivated, something keeps me going.

That would be desire.

Desire is also important, you see.

But I always have motivation.

I always want to draw,

Or even doodle.

I could be in class taking notes,

But my paper could be filled with notes along with all kinds of doodles.

The doodles make the paper look a lot cooler.

But when I am at home working on something bigger than doodles,

I always have that desire too.

Desire keeps me going.

It is so hard to stop.

I really neer want to stop anyways.

Even if my mom told me it was snowing.

Along with motivation and desire,

I need patience.

Without patience, things could end up in a mess.

When I mess up, I do not give up.

I concentrate on my mistake and fix it.

And I take my time, like it is a test.

I try not to get angry and frustrated.

I try to keep calm when I make a mistake.

I always try my best to stay patient with the art.

If it ever gets to the point

To where I feel like i can't fix it, and i get really mad,

I just walk away for a while. It is smart.

Art always keeps me busy.

If I am not playing my violin,

Or helping my mom around the house, I am drawing.

If I am not watching a movie with my dad,

Or fighting with my sister over a shirt, I am drawing.

Drawing, to me, is amazing.

Nobody could take art away from me.

Art is my life.

I do not think I could live without art in my life.

I would probably go crazy without it.

That is how important it is to me.
