Art

Oh how your colors persuade me

How some colors seem to reflect all of the suns rays

And others seem to absorb it as if it’s their own

All I know is you have always been there for me

When I was so sad that I could have cried a river

And when I was so scared that I would hide in my closet

When I felt so alone, it was as if emptiness filled my body

When I had nowhere to call home but the car I slept in

But you were my home

It may have taken me awhile

But now I know that I’m not so alone

My mom, my father, and my brother too

From generation to generation, I will always be there for you

As you were for me

Oh art how I will always love you
