Art

Black and white was all I saw

Until my world, you came to draw.

Did not know someone could change my heart,

You, the artist, and I, the art.

Red was the first you began to brush,

Passion and ambition in the color of blush.

Warm, loving, and intense

I could feel the breaking down of every fence.

Yellow was next in every stroke,

Confidence came in the words I spoke.

Caring, patient, and committed

The vibrancy of our love was now emitted.

Green was painted to create bliss,

Curiosity became driven by every kiss.

Calm, cool, and collected

Your artistic abilities, I quite respected.

Blue was the last to finally add,

You showed me we could make it through the good and the bad.

Loyal, empathetic, and sincere

At last, the colors all became quite clear.

Black and white was all I saw

Until my world, you came to draw.

A colorful life we live, never to be apart,

You, the artist, and I, the art.
