The Art of Being Imperfectly Perfect

I embody everything I thought I couldn't be

I am a spitting image of everything I thought I wouldn't be

I look in the mirror and feel full;

Fullness from myself, not from the harsh demands of society

I have stepped outside the closet;

The closet of self-consciousness

The closet of hate and uncertainty

No, I have moved on from that

I have stepped into a world of self-awareness

A mindset sought from;

developed from;

nourished from; me

I am;

I can;

I will; be myself

I have mastered the art of being imperfectly perfect
