The Art of Listening
For most of my life I thought of myself as an eagle, an eagle that knew how to fly. But I was a chick in the nest watching others fly.
I knew right or left, good or bad. I thought that’s all there was.
So, because I knew it all, why jump from the nest?
Why listen to others who differ?
Good decisions are what people rely on, so I took time to listen and understand.
A once thought enemy became a friend.
I just had to jump, jump from where I thought was right, to now what I know is right.
I flew not alone but with the company of someone different then me, and that has made all the difference.
