The Art of Loneliness

Part 1: Lonely

In my life of quiet desperation,

Enslaved by the silent thoughts of unattainable self-liberation,

Desperate from a life of loss,

I am trapped in the depths of hell.

Trapped in the despair of my own thoughts,

Guided to a path shrouded in darkness,

From fear of the known,

I practice the art of loneliness.

Part 2: Awakening

Lonely in the search for a world-belonging,

Awakened to the honored display of indifference,

By bearing witness to the camouflaged voices of dying dreams,

I recognize only the truth enslaved.

Enslaved by the solitude awarded by the night,

Removed from q quiescent population by my great escape,

With the darkness transformed into my companion,

I find hope in this world-restrained.
