The Artist

If life was a color

it would start off as black

White, would soon seep in

then yellow would blaze its core

Green would already be glued down

as blue floats up

Gray would come and go

yet, there would be a hint of pink

Brown could be necessary

but orange would not

orange is a privilege, who some don’t have

Indigo is an unknown

and lavender only heals

Red is learned and made

but red with yellow is true

As time passes, green burns to brown,

blue fuses with gray,

yellow is frozen,

and black returns.
