The Artist

She smiles

Like a musician,

Constantly introducing

Some new idea, never once

Falling out of tempo, but then

She speaks such words like a river

Dammed up for too many decades,

Dropping a bucket into the well of

Her mind and drawing up millions

Of poetic phrases, which should

Be danced to, because you

Can’t hear this music

And remain still.

Time plays the

Piano but she

Is revealing

Herself in

Fragments.
