Ashes

Flames burning, scorching everything.

Reducing mankind to ashes.

It's like a paper when met with a candle.

The candle stays the same while paper disintegrates into carbon.

That piece of paper is my confidence.

I was ecstatic when I got into my dream school and crushed when I couldn't afford it.

That's what I'd change.

I'd make college affordable to everyone.

I'm still going, but I'm not as happy.

I don't get to learn to cook.

I can't pick out bedding.

I lack the ability to practice with a purpose on the washing machine.

I've been stuck in a rut about this for months, but I've probably expected this all for a few years.

It'll be my first venture out of my comfort zone.

My last hurrah is coming like that wax melting off the candle.

It has to finish oozing eventually, and then the candle extinguish for a while.

The amount of time depends on how long it takes for a person to notice it.

But when they do, they will replace the candle.

Replacing the candle makes the whole never-ending process start over again.

Sometimes I love it.

Other times, it just sucks.

But it's life, and it's what I have to deal with for eternity.
