Ashes From A Loner
Asking me why I write
Is like asking me why I breathe
Because writing to me
Is not a complex thing
I guess the thing that clicked the button
Of writing in my head
Was the day that my mom
Walked out on us instead
It was really a tragic moment
When I heard those words of gloom
"Don't worry Asia sweetie,
I'll be back soon"
I'm not saying this for your sympathy
Or even to make you feel sad
It's because after those few words were said
I got out my notepad
I can still remember the words
Of the first poem I ever wrote
It was all out of anger
Called "The Suicidal Note"
Of course eventually
I threw it all away
And a few months later
I Saw my Mom and said "Hey"
And since that day
I always wrote
All my bad feelings
On a small note
But after I was done
I turned the note into toast
Because the ashes on the ground
We're nothing but a hoax
