Ashes Mixed With Dust
You don't know who I am,
I was the cigarette in between his teeth
And out of habit, he lit me on fire.
He inhaled all of me, and coughed out the smoke.
he threw me on the ground
...he didn't kill me, he left me there burning. But he didn't know I was begging, praying for the last thing I see to be the bottom of his shoe. Suffocating my ember till I'm nothing but ash. I'd blow away in the wind from all the places that haunt me. All the places I was burned. But no, I'm here on the ground awaiting a stampede that will never come. He didn't tell me that his depression was contagious and besides a broken heart he left me a hope...a hope for the end. It would save me from the pain of continuing without him. I thought I was the habit, but once I touched his lips and felt his hands. I was the one who became addicted. I was the one wrapped around his finger and I loved it. what we had that's completely tarnished
It might as well be in rumble
Because it didn't mean shit to you.
When it was my world you let it fall to ashes and ambers that will never extinguish from your flame.
You let me burn in an invisible fire.
An invisible fire with an invisible spark But you, you were the fire starter. I saw the spark and my first instinct is go towards the light. I didn't know I would burst into your burning love.
