Aspects of myself

As I sit here and write this

I am trying not to cry

For this life that I have created

Quite simply makes me want to die.

I started life so brightly,

Funny, brave and pretty too

But step by step I ruined it

Fixing it is not something I can do.

I think of my life before Matt

So dark and full of sadness

He really is the only thing in the way

Of me ending all of this madness.

So for now I’ll keep quiet

Taking everything day by day

Trying so, so desperately

To make the depression go away.
