Aspen

To my beloved sister

Who is so dear to me

Your presence is but a whisper

In this Georgia breeze

The wind blows

And ruffles your leaves

Yet you continue to grow

Beautiful tree

You are covered in snow

And surrounded by skis

Yet you continue to grow

Beautiful tree

Water flows

As if from the sea

Yet you continue to grow

Beautiful tree

No radiant glow

From the sun beams

Yet you continue to grow

Beautiful tree

Aspen, you must know

You mean the world to me

I hope you continue to grow

Beautiful tree
