Wipe away the makeup

Take off the getup

See a girl relaxed in her skin

Not trying to fit in

Branching out to see the world

Trying to stay out of the whirl

Still trying to stay grounded

To remain well rounded

But then watch as she fills with doubt

That questions what the future is about

Will she become her dreams

Or will she lose her esteem

Now you see the girl

As she lets herself unfurl
