Assembly Lines

Putting us on a belt, you know

The assembly lines in their rows

One little piece or bit of info

Each cognition in time, but slow

We're released by bells

We're summoned with wails

"Get back in your chairs!"

Make standardized hell.

They tell us what to create

With our pencils in hand

But by doing so

They erase our faces and

Our Minds.

We're no more than appliances

Used to better the human condition

Hopefully we, their products, will

Race to the Top.

Better pass the product inspection

If not, back to the repair shop.

Fresh off the assembly line

With interchangeable parts.

The road back to originality

Thousands of dollars-

-this is where life starts.
