Assimilation

Native Americans
travel far...assimilate
into our communal forces

They gave only love
we must give it back...

Their higher sense
of color when they
make crafts...
brilliant, bold, beautiful

We must give back!

The ingenious way
they grow gardens -
magical and wondrous
sprinkled with stars
seen from the earth

Let them grow and grow

Their great stories, fables,
and legends of healing,
wisdom, courage and beauty

Give thanks,

Let their individuality
reach our intimate lives
Set up the preschools to
raise them up into being
with the world -

Love the truth...

The alternative medicine
such invaluable knowledge
to us - so special

Let it flow,

Let them build up the
country once again and
be great - let us open
our white gates for all
their firey red sources
of knowing...still giving
us more as we rediscover
their greatness,

Go with the love...

I am into writing spiritual poetry/yoga poetry. I think a poem's beauty is how much love it conveys to the reader.
