Assumptions

Assumptions

I Guess I just always assumed everything would be fine
Complacent in a life that we were living.
I never saw the hurt in you as if I was blind

It was not because I did not care
I have always loved you so deeply
My assumptions were that you would always be there.

I know we cannot continue the life that we were laid.
But we can move forward
With no more assumptions ever made.

How are you? What do you feel?
What can I do?
I would throw away all assumptions,
And instead ask these questions of you.
