Astronauts

Traveling eons away and swathed in darkness dipped nylon,

we swim among the light of stars,

bathing in their icy silver gleam.

We fill in the craters of the moon

with quiet laughter,

bounced between us on radio waves.

Our fingertips graze the milky way

as we sail through the cosmos,

the light of galaxies reflecting off our helmets.

Our home on Earth,

now small enough to cup in our hands

and hold close to our hearts.
