The Astronauts

Life is NEVER about going head-on.
Try to BEND the road a little.
You want to make YOUR life meaningful,
Turning your HEAD this way and that.

Don't ALWAYS follow the rules,
But HOLD back a bit,
And let the feeling of flying, 
The feeling of adventure,
Let IT take you away.

People say the sky is the limit,
Say that's as HIGH as you can go.
LOOK at THE astronauts:
Traveling, soaring, drifting, sailing
Through space to a different WORLD.
They don't take the STRAIGHT and narrow,
Or listen to the rules of gravity.

The world we live IN now
Needs THE overachievers, and rule breakers,
Needs the the shining glint in the EYE
Telling the rest of us
There is more than that of what meets the eye.
