Astronomical

You were the sun, and I the moon; so utterly entranced by your presence.  My light was only a reflection of yours.  You were so hypnotic and intoxicating; I could not tear my eyes from your aura.  Your words and beauty flooded my senses, and so I forgot everything but you.  The amnesia removed my knowledge, of the galaxy, of other celestial bodies.  But you engulfed me in flame, and abandoned me to ablaze to burn.  I was left devastated and charred, with only the recollection of the void without you.  But with time I learned to reopen my eyes, and when I did I was astonished.  I was stunned by the beauty revealed to me.  I saw the stars, and with this sight my memories came rushing back.  And I remembered, there is more than one sun in the universe.
