"An Athletes Sight"

A sea of green layes before my eyes.

Bright white lines

Marking yardages yet not received.

Poising myself into a four point stance.

My right hand layes upon a football

Not yet in motion.

Turning my head side to side.

Making sure each man has not crossed the line.

I put my head down, and take a breath.

When the sweat falls

To the tip of my nose

I rise for the count.

Hut, Hut, Hike.

I send the ball to flight.

The adreline increased

The vegeance fierce.

Pushing and shoving

My opponents fall.

Just to hear

Just to hear

That one great call

TOUCH DOWN.

Crowd loud

And the team stands proud.

We walk away with a win

And wait for the next game to begin.
