Athletic Butt Slap

The first time I got my butt slapped

I was 14

My teammate ran up to me

Said

“Good job”

And slapped me on the behind

I can't remember what happened after

I think I might’a blacked out

Couple months back

Slapped my teammate’s butt little too hard

She tried to get back at me

Keyword “tried”

Girl had a hand like a paper napkin

I looked back at her and said

“Is that the best you can do?”

Athletic practices and

Crossfits alike

I'm dishing out butt slaps

Open palmed

With a firm grasp

To be honest

I'm not sure why

We've picked up the habit

To slap each other's rumps

The moment we see ‘em

Bent down to tie my shoes at practice

The other day

Homegirl haul out and

Kicked my sore ass

She was wearing gym shoes

Yet I still have no bruise

To prove

The territory was marked

I got bruises on my thighs

And my knees

From falling and slapping

Tackling and grabbing

Now let me just say

Before this continues

I play rugby and

This ain't no abuse
