Atlas Shrugged

I wanted to write a happy song for you tonight
but here I am, with a chorus that repeats - look within
as I age and feel my soul decay - I wonder if I've done enough
Should've been in that bridge before she jumped
Before the pills, before the gun, before the pervert, before the nun
and every day is a loss, the balance sheet don't balance the world
My Ego takes a hit, another cigarette lit
the adults today feel no guilt - the education system's obsolete
The poor man's Nirvana is the rich man's con
Before she gave up and. Before she filled her heart with hate.
Atlas Shrugged when I asked him
I've got nothing left, just a lonely song tonight
Sing it - Look within, Look within. I cry hard, I try harder. A bleeding heart is a sign of life.
Com'on Darling, come through, come through for me
