Attack

Living in a lost world

What do you see?

I see broken boys and girls

Standing all around me

Full of pain and rage that

No one else understands

Creating plans for attacks that

No one else could have planned

Attacks against themselves and

Others just like them

Instead of getting them help we

Push them off on their friends.

No wonder when they snap

We're the first they go for

"Ban the guns and button the hatch!"

But who's really keeping score?

Because honestly, what did we ever expect

When we ignored the broken and hurt?

Even today, we ignore where we should protect

And wonder why our system is cursed.
