Attempt At Being Perfect
Trying everyday to be perfect. Like the colors of a rainbow perfectly bright and beautiful. I wish I was a rainbow because when it appears everyone stops and admires it. But instead, I'm a speck of sand on a white sandy beach. It's exausting trying to be perfect in everything; every hour of every day not feeling like you can ever speak your mind because it might not fit the image people created or that people expect you to be. An image you never wanted.
I try not to wear my feelings on my sleeve in fear that people would think differently of me. At times I enjoy my perfect, nice girl image. But at other times I wish I could just express myself, showing the real me. I'm like an owl strong and silent that watches everything going on.
I'm practically perfect and perfectly practiced at appearing perfect. But I'm not, I'm human. I make mistakes, I have to say I'm sorry and ask for forgivness, like everyone else. Now I don't want to be a rainbow anymore. I try so hard to be perfect but maybe that's not the answer anymore.
