Attention

I find myself intoxicated

waiting for attention

Internalizing words you stated

tasting the affection

I can see me now

as you see me

Lost in the thoughts you mention

I live the dream

through your mirror seen

enthralled by my reflection

Can you see

what you mean to me?

You are my great temptation

Can you be

the means for me

to see I'm worth redemption?

When I believe

you speak to me

I'm feeding off this tension

The words you speak

are lifting me

Are you feeling my ascension?

Why these things

mean so much to me

I have no comprehension

Your words I seek

for your dreams of peace

I'll wait here in suspension
