there’s an attic in my mind my thoughts organized into cardboard boxes wrapped up in twine i untie open unleash ancient artifacts memories are these mine or did i mislabel my box of dreams cross out ‘memories’ take my sharpie write all lies to me

The attic metaphor is wonderful-it is definitely how I think of how things are arranged in my mind, and there are definitely boxes in there that I would be afraid to open.
