Attire Affects

Boys are not like us girls

Yet they should still see

The discrimination that occurs

If there is a hole in her jeans.

Most boys do not sexualize the girls

As administration suggests.

We care more about our education

Than the visible amount of breasts.

Short shorts, tank top,

All normal things we see,

But when you send a girl home

If her shorts show her knees.

Girls are called terrible names

For how they choose to dress,

But no one corrects a boy

For showing his bare chest.

Girls are sexualized,

Girls are slandered,

Girls are held

To an unreasonable standard.

There are two questions left to ask:

Is dress code an issue

to those of the opposite sex?

Or is it the grown adults

That her attire affects?
