Audacity

Those three words and your audacity makes me fear yet quake with anger. Years with nothing and now everything hits like a match to a fire. Those three words and I feel like I can't breath. Your face scares me  but then I remember you tender love. I open my mouth for a yell but only silence falls out. I hear my heart beat in the hollow auditorium of my chest cavity. Stumbling back I fall into my thoughts but you've gone and I can no longer see. Those three words break my spirit but it's everything I need to hear

...I love you
