august 21

something about the honey in your eyes
makes me see the whole world a bit clearer
each time we talk i get a whole new high
and i see a new me in the mirror

the freckles on your face are like flowers
dotting your nose with daisies all around
we share a love that could only be ours
because it pulled us both from the background

from the bland lives we were living before
and together we added extra spice
that only people like us could adore
now we have our own little paradise

what i'm saying is i love you so much
and could hardly live without your safe touch
