AUGUST RAINS

August rains are falling

People are calling your name

Through the sadness and the pain

A glimmer of hope shines through the rain

A young boy down and out

No where to go but down

He listens for the sound

That will bring out the power in him

Someone, everyone searching for better way

Got to keep on working, no time to play

Should I go, should I stay?

When will it be my day?

So can’t you hear the August rains?

Listen to the people say your name

August Rains are not a storm

They are gentle and warm
