Australia Is Burning

I come from a land smothered in smoke.

Unable to see me while I choke.

I come from a land of hot sands, animals and man.

People Crying, animals dying and me silent.

You see my country on the news.

You can read articles of our fire abuse.

Have you heard of our country?

It's Dying.

Never raining.

Never ending...

The pain...

The loss...

The heartache.

The struggle.

The homeless.

The raging fire of hell.

I come from a land of smoke.

But are you able to help us cope?

I come from an island where kookaburras laugh and kangaroos jump.

The forest is burning, but will you help?
