Authentic love

Love is the conjoining force that adorns the souls, Love is the pendulum swing of reciprocity. It is the balancing act of Harmony that follows an “ I do”. It is the laughter lunging from the mouths of best friends. Yet it is also the afterglow of the echo reflecting back to their ears. You know love has has hidden her pearls when the once sweet honey of Harmony turns sour, when it becomes an odd taste to the tongue like the a mouth full of blood after the fight No one has ever tasted love in the afterglow of a slap Or a punch Or the power behind a push. You know love has packed her bag and left town when you love for possession rather than fellowship and affection when love becomes a never ending interrogation session rather than a source of companionship and affection. Love let's you breathe lets you decide for yourself with whom you want to be it is not a choke hold or an ultimatum . It let's you decide what you need it is not smothering it is comforting. Like the first drop of drink after basking in the heat of the starry sun for what seems like weeks.
