The Author of Life

The Author of life
Before the start of creation

Before He spoke of light

Sat down on His throne;

He envisioned a world…

A Kingdom of sorts,

People filled with laughter

With gladness and peace

A Kingdom of people

United in the deepest of love

He saw a small little girl

With brown blue eyes

And dark brown locks

A little chatterbox

His heart filled with joy

And His mind filled with plans.

He said the Word

And the world came to be.

With His hands He shaped

And then breathed in life

His Kingdom, His people

Now full of life

He nurtured, He fed

He took the deepest of care

And yet His Kingdom, His people

Got caught in a snare

He knew this would happen

He knew they would fall

And so He provided

A Savior for all

He came down from heaven

To set free those imprisoned

And yet, His Kingdom, His people

Hung Him on a cross

He died and was buried

Praise God, He rose from the dead

Breaking  the chains

Setting all free

Even you and me

He then made a little girl

With blue brown eyes

And dark brown locks

A real little chatterbox

He named her Janine

And crowned her

The Princess of His heart

What once was just a thought

Now came to pass.
