Autumn

A leaf falls from a once great tree

Like the rest they will all be free

Regardless - even if the plea

Autumn is when you can just fall

As the leaf hovers to the ground

It will make a delicate sound

And be blown into a small mound

Where it will sit until snowfall

Hidden by the umpteen crystals

Lying with companion pedals

Hither is where it will nestle

Goodbye tree, as it disenthralls

As the leaf rests until silence
