autumn

september twenty-third

autumn starts

horrible but heartwarming decorations at your local stores

leaves turn from bright, full of life green

to swirl of yellow, orange and red

october first

the wind gets cooler

gusts of chilly october air batter your face

fake zombies and jack skellingtons deflated in yards

standing in a rain soaked road

acknowledging how youll never be apart of that

mythical

oh

so

perfect

life

halloween night

caramel apples and candy corn

gummy eyeballs and discounted halloween candy

scream and the texas chainsaw massacre

watch it in the solitude of yourself

nothing new

november fourteenth

trees shed all of their leaves

barren, barren trees

your birthday is coming

future you says nobody comes

future you is you but in the future

of course theyre right

birthday

“happy birthday”

nobody says

everyone forgets until theres cake and ice cream

everyone

end of autumn

but its ok

bright scenic memories always make it ok

apple cider and scary movies you love

sweet family time you cherish

your friends

cant wait for next autumn
