Autumn (Afterlife)

Auburn leaves are falling from the trees

Followed by golden and tangerine hues,

For love is not yet lost

And faith can be found.

The crimson leaves are burning in me

As I watch my love walk away

I took this road, for I did not know

That there would be a fallen tree

Its decayed and rotten, but still it goes

For many have used its nutritious glow

To fill their own lives with peace and harmony.

For when one is lost,

another can be found

by using what is left of me
