Autumn Butterfly

Though it’s as cold as can be An autumn butterfly Fluttered on by and smiled at me And this is what He said: I am the Lord who gives and takes away I am the same yesterday as I am today Though you may have doubt You can proclaim this with a shout That I Love you for you And there’s no doubt that’s true Though the future seems bleak From this heart I speak I am your father and your friend And I will stand next to you until the end There’s no need to shed a tear For I’m ever so near Child don’t forget this song Just know that I’ve Loved you all along. And when He fluttered away A smile on my face you could see Funny how an autumn butterfly came my way And made me realize His Love is all I need.
