Autumn Leaves

“Autumn Leaves”

Autumn has come…

The cycle is soon to be reached,

The tears, the laughter

Enjoying every moment with you…

Nothing comes around to me

You are gone

Forever and ever

“Do you ever wonder if the stars ever shine out for you?”

Another star you are, far away from me…

Autumn leaves

Fall as another soul dies

Your beauty, your happiness, the tears

I see now…

As you shy away from me, dying

Why you, we never will know

“Hush, now. Close your eyes before the sleep.”

I love this poem. Interweaving lines from Autumn Leaves, one of my favorite songs he has written, is such a good idea. Please, come check out my poem that discusses Ed Sheeran as well.
